Topic: Circle Formulas
In geometry, a circle is a round shape where all points are the same distance from the center.
That distance is called the radius (r), and the diameter (d) is twice the radius:
Bridge pipe diameters vary based on structural demands, load types, and regional standards. They ensure stability for pipelines crossing rivers or roads.

Common Sizes
Typical diameters range from 50 mm (2 inches) for pedestrian bridges or light loads to 100 mm (4 inches) or larger for heavy vehicle traffic. In pipeline bridge designs, 200 mm pipes are common for spans around 18 meters.

Selection Factors
Diameter choice depends on load (pedestrian vs. vehicular), span length, and material strength—smaller pipes like 50-75 mm suit light use, while bigger ones handle greater stress.

Standards like NPS (Nominal Pipe Size) in inches or DN (Diameter Nominal) in mm guide measurements, with OD (outer diameter) critical for pipes up to 12 inches.
