Main Function Vitamin B Complex

Vitamin B complex is a supplement that contains several (or all) of the essential B‑group vitamins in one preparation. These vitamins are water‑soluble and work mainly as coenzymes in energy metabolism and many other body processes.
What is included in vitamin B complex?

A typical vitamin B complex includes eight B vitamins:
B1 (thiamine)
B2 (riboflavin)
B3 (niacin)
B5 (pantothenic acid)
B6 (pyridoxine)
B7 (biotin)
B9 (folic acid / folate)
B12 (cobalamin).

Dietary supplements that combine all (or most) of these are called “vitamin B complex” or “B‑complex” preparations.

Main functions in the body.
B vitamins help:
Convert carbohydrates, fats, and proteins into energy.
Support nerve function, brain health, and the production of red blood cells.
Maintain healthy skin, hair, and nails, especially B2, B3, B5, B7, and B12.

Because they are water‑soluble, excess B vitamins are usually excreted in urine, so they must be supplied regularly through food (like whole grains, meat, eggs, dairy, and vegetables) or supplements.
