Livestock Animals With Oviparous, Viviparous, Ovoviviparous
The way animals "give birth" or reproduce is generally divided into several types, depending on the species.
Oviparous animals are animals that reproduce by laying eggs, and the embryos develop outside the mother’s body, usually in the environment.
Example: birds, most reptiles, amphibians, and many fish.
2. Viviparous
Viviparous animals give birth to live young; the embryos develop inside the mother’s body and receive nutrients directly from her (often through a placenta).
Example: most mammals such as humans, cows, dogs, whales.
3. Ovoviviparous
Ovoviviparous animals produce eggs that develop inside the mother’s body, but the embryos are mainly nourished by the egg yolk, not directly by the mother. The eggs hatch inside the body or just after being laid, so the young appear as live-born.
Contoh: some sharks, rays, and certain reptiles like some kinds of snakes and lizards.
