Types of Weather and Their Explanations
Weather can be grouped into common types such as sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, windy, foggy, and stormy. These describe the day-to-day conditions we experience, and they happen because of changes in temperature, air pressure, humidity, wind, clouds, and precipitation
Common Types
Sunny: Clear or mostly clear skies, with lots of sunlight and little cloud cover.
Cloudy: The sky is covered by clouds, which can block sunlight and sometimes lead to rain.
Rainy: Water falls from clouds as rain, usually when the air is warm enough for liquid water
Snowy: Precipitation falls as snow when temperatures are cold enough for ice crystals to form
Windy: Air moves strongly from one place to another because of differences in air pressure
Foggy: Tiny water droplets hang near the ground and reduce visibility.
Stormy: Weather with thunder, lightning, heavy rain, strong winds, or hail.
Severe Weather
Some weather types are more dangerous than ordinary daily weather. Thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, and droughts are examples of severe weather, and they can cause damage or disrupt daily life
