Where did Guava First Come From

Guava, also known as jambu biji, originates from Central America and South America. It was first grown in tropical regions of the Americas and later spread to many other warm climates around the world, including Southeast Asia and Indonesia.

Because of its wide adaptation to tropical weather, guava is now commonly found in many countries and is enjoyed in different forms, such as eaten fresh, made into juice, jam, or used in desserts. In Indonesia, guava is very popular because it is easy to find, affordable, and valued for its sweet taste as well as its nutritional benefits.

The main nutritional content of guava fruit
The main nutrients in guava are vitamin C, fiber, carbohydrates, vitamin A, B vitamins, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and iron. Guava is also rich in antioxidants such as lycopene, beta-carotene, flavonoids, and polyphenols.

In general, guava is known as a tropical fruit that is high in vitamin C and fiber, which makes it good for immune health and digestion.
