The Largest Leaf In The World

The largest leaf in the world belongs to the Raffia Palm.

Its leaves can reach up to 25 meters (82 feet) long and about 3 meters (10 feet) wide.
The plant is native to the tropical rainforests of Central and West Africa.

A single leaf can be longer than many buildings are tall, making it the largest undivided leaf known in the plant kingdom.

Interesting fact: Although some plants have larger total leaf areas when their leaves are divided into many leaflets, the Raffia Palm holds the record for the longest single leaf structure.
